Therapeutic Massage is based on Swedish techniques that re-energizes and rejuvenates the body. This traditional style of massage is a great way to relax and feel better. Stone Massage, Aromatherapy, Pregnancy Massage and On-site Chair Massage are options that are available.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a Japanese energy therapy that clears the source of energy blockages. Connecting related acupoints with gentle touch, in a specific sequence, helps to alleviate symptoms of discomfort and imbalance. Over time, the body and the mind rebalances and re-energizes. This technique is particularly helpful with situations that accumulate over time and relieves the condition we call aging.
Reiki is an ancient energy therapy that clears energy blockages through laying-on of hands. A pattern of light touch from head to toe assists the body and the mind to achieve balance and all-over relaxation.
Tui-na is a Chinese therapy that evolved through Eastern traditional medicine. Tui-na uses touch to re-balance flows of energy throughout the body. This localized touch ranges from circular rubbing to push strokes, and includes tapping and vibration, similar to traditional massage. It is site-specific for the relief of pain.
Spinal Touch is a technique pioneered in the U.S. by Dr John Hurley, D.C. and improved upon by W. LaMar Rosquist, D.C. It is based on minute sacral imbalances that respond to light touching of the muscle reflex centers in order to facilitate muscular release. This technique is particularly helpful with spinal imbalances and back pain.
Polarity Therapy is an energy balancing technique popularized by Dr. Randolf Stone that brings on healing relaxation. Using the magnetic negative and positive energy flows, Polarity balances the subtle electromagnetic fields around and through the body.
Acutherapy is a delicate touch therapy based on Dr. Stone’s Polarity theories. Pioneered by Jim Foster, CMT, it assists the release of muscular tension when there is serious pain in the tissues and other techniques would be too painful to use.
Acupressure Facelift Massage is a combination of acupressure points located in the body and on the face and scalp that increase blood flow and release energy blockages that age the face. This quick technique goes well with any other option listed.
Reflexology accesses and releases the reflexes of the body through the hands and the feet. Thus a reflexology massage assists the entire body in relaxing and feeling well. It combines well with therapeutic massage.
Shiatsu is a massage technique that was popularized by Tokujiro Namikoshi in Japan. It utilizes pressing and rubbing acupressure points to stimulate the body’s healing power. It aids in relieving fatigue and promotes good health.
Hatha Yoga and T’ai Chi Chih are eastern practices that address the stresses and strains of our modern culture. They are offered as a group opportunity and/or as private classes for 1-4 people.
Iyengar-style Hatha Yoga is a discipline that gently challenges the body to overcome the mind. Using precise movements to master the physical body, this approach allows oneself to become strong, flexible, focused and healthy.
T’ai Chi Chih is a discipline based on T’ai Chi Chuan. It is composed of 19 simple, repetitive movements and 1 stationary form. T’ai Chi Chih strengthens the body and focuses the mind, while relaxing both. This practice is a uniquely gentle way to de-stress and yet still energize. T’ai Chi Chih is a great way to stay fit and healthy at any age.
